Found this while trying to determine whether the two John Armstrongs associated with Dubuque were actually the same person–as, indeed, they were. Also found Armstrong’s obituary; he passed away on April 30, 1960 in his Dubuque home.

BC Yanks to Dubuque?

Tuesday’s Battle Creek Enquirer ran several articles reporting that the Yanks were planning a move to Dubuque, Iowa. This is still preliminary discussion, and is subject to a bunch of approvals and other things, including Dubuque financing and building a stadium.
