On This Date: Photo taken 9/10/2005
Needmore, Michigan. Or Roxana, if you’d prefer, though that’s apparently never been official.
These cattle lived in and around the McCargar Barn, one of my favorite photo subjects. Now their successors live in that barn’s successor.
Three years ago today Joan and I got our Nikon 1 V2s. Joan’s was a birthday present; mine was an upgrade from my broken V1. We’d been waiting for Nikon to knock the price down, but finally I gave in and ordered ’em. I’ve not regretted doing so. We both use ’em fairly hard.
No one who’s paid attention to these notes will be surprised to discover that my first V2 picture was of Joan, and my second was of Taffy.
