Lansing Brewing Company
A year ago I spent the day with Michigan members of the Society for American Baseball Research. We met for lunch at Lansing Brewing, chatted about Peter Morris’ books at Everybody Reads, and took in a ballgame at Cooley Law School Stadium.

I think this is Island in the Sky Trail, but it might be the Skyline Trail. Seven years gives you plenty of time to forget that sort of detail. I’m reasonably sure we walked both trails during this vacation.

Cooley Bridge
In 1965 and 1966 I spent most of August in Wellston, at Northwoods Cabins, with the Loy Norrix High School Cross Country team. We ran.
Sometimes we ran to this bridge.

Nails
A dozen years ago the roofers showed up shortly before we left for a trip to Illinois, Iowa, and Wisconsin. We chatted a bit, finished packing, loaded up the car, and left.
