St Clair

St Clair

On This Date: Photo taken 6/24/2005

Since we were already up north for the car show (see yesterday’s On This Date), we headed to Sault Ste Marie for Engineer’s Day. And watched the big boats from up close.

St Clair‘s a 770 foot vessel, launched in 1975 to ferry coal to the Belle River power plant. She now carries other bulk cargoes, like most lakers.

We’ll be heading north for Engineer’s Day again this Friday, but we’re staying at a Soo hotel this time. See some of you there!

Number of pix taken on various June 24ths: 489
