Birdies, anyone?
The bulk of my January 31 photographs were shot in 2013–set my camera on a tripod early in the day and snapped merrily away whenever the fancy struck me. Got some good photographs, mostly of birds but a few of a squirrel.

One of the Better Porches Around Here, Revisited
A week ago I claimed January 23 as the date I’ve taken the fewest photographs, but that was before I filtered out the eBay product pictures. With those gone, January 30’s easily my least-photographed date, with only 19 images. Since they’re in three different years, they were taken in very skimpy photo sessions.

Most local chapters of the Society for Baseball Research meet on the last Saturday in January in an event the Society calls SABR Day. Five years ago today David Malamut put together a program for the Milwaukee and Chicago chapters centered on Midwest League (MWL) baseball–so I had to go.

Snow at the Farm
Joan’s family’s stories include tales of summer days spent planting trees along the farm’s perimeter. They remember the labor, but like the results.

This is Bomberville
There’ll be more ballpark and baseball pix in this project. Of the 200,000 or so pix in my collection, about 60,000 were taken at ballgames.

Roxand Center Schoolhouse
While I’ve taken a handful of pix in other years, the bulk of the January 24 pix date from the 2012 daily photo project. I was clearly bored; I tried a little bit of everything. There’s a pic taken at my dentist’s. Another couple came from where I ate breakfast, and I caught some more on my way home. Then I took random images around the house. There’s even a rubber ducky photo. And a cat, of course. Eventually I posted one of ’em–of a bird feeder, which I actually like.

Fence, with Barn
There has to be a date when I’m least likely to take photographs–and that date’s January 23. In fact, it appears that the only reason I take pix on this date is photo-a-day projects. I’ll be taking a few more today.

Living Room w/ Debbie
I’m not much of a photographer on January 22. I get the camera out most years, but I mostly shoot boring stuff. Poorly.
