Let me get this straight. If I want to renew a vehicle plate/tab via ExpressSOS, ExpressSOS charges a “nominal processing fee”. If I want to renew a vehicle plate/tab via email, no fee is charged. Huh? The taxpayers have already paid $50 million for the Business Application Modernization and we are now charged a fee to use components of it? Beyond that, why would the state charge to use ExpressSOS, when it costs the state less for an individual to use ExpressSOS (I assume) than having them mail in their renewal.
Bizarre…
Not a decision I had any hand in, and certainly not one I’d defend.
