Thousands of Broadways by Robert Pinsky: a short review

Interesting, in its fashion; an exploration of the treatment of small towns in American prose and film around the middle of the twentieth century. There’s some excellent discussion of Willa Cather, here, and he offers an interesting discussion about Preston Sturges.

Except I’m not sure what the point is.
