Twenty Six Years

On the morning of October 24, 1977, I and three other recruits reported to the personnel office and filled out necessary paperwork. I was delivered to Nancy, a supervisor I’d not yet met, to begin a job I’d not actually interviewed for. By day’s end, Adam was beginning to teach me about reading driving records.
