This is obsolete information. Please don’t act on it. Thanks.
The ballpark’s going to be gorgeous. Stop and say hello.
Single-game tickets are now on sale at the Olds Park ticket office. They are also available for telephone purchase at (517) 485-4500. There is a surcharge for phone sales.
Here is information comparing the various Lugnuts’ ticket packages for 1996. Packages 35B, 20C, 10E and 10F got what was left over after the original package sets were prepared (and sold). That doesn’t mean the packages are bad, but does mean you’ll be going in mid-week more often and you’ll be less likely to see the other Michigan teams. They’re certainly still worth buying.
Please don’t ask me about ticket purchases; my only relationship with the team is I’m a season ticket holder. The Lugnut phone number is (517) 485-4500. Thank you.
A few notes:
- Seats for the season ticket packages are close to the field.
- Season packages come in three price ranges, beginning at $385.
- Some season ticket packages have been sold out.
- The 35-game packages have seats all around the infield edge, behind and among the season-ticket packages..
- Package 35A is sold out.
- The twenty-game packages have seats near the dugouts.
- Packages 20A and 20B are expected to sell out.
- The ten-game packages have seats behind home plate.
- Packages 10A, 10B, 10C, and 10D are sold out.
The team is reported to have sold 7,000 packages for the 1996 season, amounting to over 330,000 presold tickets; their announced target for 1996 ticket sales is 500,000. That’s really quite impressive. Last season Quad City and Fort Wayne each sold over 250,000 tickets to finish third and fourth in the league’s attendance race, and were considered extremely successful. (The 1995 MWL leaders: Kane County sold 477,550. West Michigan’s 507,989 is the Single A record.)
The packages are not discounted from single-game prices. Seats should be available for most games. Single-game tickets will begin at $3.50, top price will be $5.50. Getting good seats for weeknight games should not be a problem. It appears that many weekend games will be sold out in advance.
Next year, I’ll post this when it’s more useful. [Author’s note: I did so.]

Despite what I’ve claimed elsewhere, this was the first page I wrote for the web and it was originally posted in October of 1995. It turns out that actual research trumps memory. You’ve likely been told this before….
This is not exactly the original page, though. The Lugnuts sold out their original ticket package offerings–and offered more options. This is a March 9 rewrite to reflect the additional packages, and includes information which was available on the revision date.
I assembled a similar page about the 1996 Michigan Battle Cats ticket packages and donated that page to another, long-since-gone, website. I’ve decided not to repost that.
For what little it’s worth, I was the 41st person to reserve a Luggie ticket package. I was on the phone as soon as they announced the number to call.
